So far so good
With recent high prices of ice we (group of 8) decided to chip in & get an ice maker. This little bugger fits our needs 100%!!! We have ice when we need it (every weekend with at least 6-8 coolers) and since we got it 3 wks ago, we figured we’ve saved well over $100. This machine churns out ice like crazy– I’m amazed. I make up & store 100-120 lbs of ice per week in an old chest freezer, packed in used plastic grocery bags. I had to run some plumbing & put a filter in line but that was easy. VERY pleased with this machine.

This machine works great and easy to setup
This ice machine was very easy to set up. On the middle level of ice hardness. It will drop ice every 15-18 minutes. I was kinda skeptical on making 100 pounds of ice a day, but if you empty it every 5 hours or so I do believe it will. I bought this unit for the deer lease and so far it is working great. Thinking about buying one for the house now.

Great ice machine for the money
Was on the fence about purchasing a ice machine but I’m glad I did. If you understand how a ice machine behaves and this little beast works great. Plenty of ice when need the timer is a great feature. Was sick of running out to the store and buying ice for $6 a bag. Never again. Would recommend to anyone that camp’s, hunts, boats, entertains, or has a higher demand for fresh ice.

Awesome!
This ice machine has surpassed what I expected by a long shot. My only issue is that it makes ice so fast its more than I needed. The capacity and speed is great. Run it for 2-3 hours in the am and I can fill a cooler and still have ice for the day for the house. And the best part is that my wife loves it. Excellent product so far.

Brand new out of the box and doesn’t make ice. Box was perfect. Easy set up. Amazon is sending a new one. Fingers crossed this one works. Update hot tge new one been a while. Had to fix wires on solenoid but been working great since. I empty it at least once a day. And sometimes three times in a day

Bought this based on other reviews and they weren’t wrong. Easy to set up and as others have stated, this machine will not reuse water to make ice but rather empty itself when the ice melts. I knew this at the time of purchase and it’s no problem as we turn the machine off once we have enough ice and bag and freeze any ice left over to avoid wastage. The fact that any water inside is drained away reduces the risk of contaminated water remaining inside even though I’m paranoid about people washing their hands before they take ice out.The blue light is a nice touch and makes it look very cool inside. The delayed start function is handy and gives us plenty of ice when we open up. t’s easy to clean and hopefully will last us many years.

Does not hold 48 lbs.
Product came damaged due to shipping or storage but arrived quickly. I didn’t want to hassle with returning it, so I kept it. It was fairly easy to setup. The water line adapter (1/2″ adapter) does not fit on a sink faucet without another adapter. Seems to produce about the advertised 100lb of ice in 24hrs but it is hard to tell as the storage only holds about 25-30lbs and shuts down the ice maker.

Update: I changed my star rating to 5!Seller text me directly offering to help address the issue! I really appreciate the effort from this seller so therefore am changing my review! The ice machine has been great, making tons of ice! Issues arise and I’m glad the seller is going to do what’s needed to get it back functioning properly!Former review/question.This ice maker has been functioning perfect for 6+ months and now it all of sudden is not releasing the ice into the holding tank. It just continues to try to make more ice. Anyone had this issue and know a solution?? It’s also giving a E2 error.I have looked through the manual and contacted Amazon for support with no solution.

Good size. Quick ice.
Great ice maker. I literally stacked another smaller ice maker on top of it and it’s perfect. Makes fast ice. Capacity is great for ice storage. I don’t think the storage is exactly as advertised but most lie about that. I had to change my settings to -6 to make sure ice didn’t get stuck. Ice comes out nice and large and easy to get the ice from the machine.

Fast machine

Great mid sized machine. It made the first tray of ice in about 15 minutes on the first run. It will need to run a few hours to make enough ice to fill my 8 lb bags. I have it in the room next to my office (no doors in between) and its not a distracting noise level. Sounds like a fan running.If you don’t want to connect a permanent water line from your business/house water line its very easy to put the hose into a water jug and the machine will pull the water from the jug and fill the reservoir under the ice freezing tray. Just make sure to put the hose end onto the water intake valve on the back right side of the unit. The left side water intake is for a permanent water line hook up.I have the drain tube going into a 5 gallon bucket that I use to water the potted plants outside when it fills. The reservoir seems to overfill alot so the ice catch area gets water in the base frequently. Trying to figure out how to solve this, but other than that it’s working great for us so far.7/22/22 UPDATE:The machine has stopped overfilling with water and isn’t getting excess water into the ice storage area anymore. It also produces ice consistently all day and keeps the ice cold in the storage area so I don’t have to scoop out the ice with each cycle, I can wait for 4-5 cycles to get a full bag of ice.

Good for the cost, bad instructions
I read some reviews that were negative about the size of the blocks of ice that is produced. Here’s why I disagree. Some reviews say the ice cubes are stuck together as one large block of 48 cubes, and you can’t turn the machine down to get smaller chunks of ice. Well the instructions aren’t great about how to set the hardness from 0 to 5, so I want to let people know the hardness setting isn’t 0 to 5. It’s -5 to +5. It arrives defaulted to 0 for ice at the middle setting. If you want almost hollow soft chewable ice and smaller chunks, simply hit the minus button to go down to -5. The instructions were definitely vague, not written well, and the font size is not for an older person with vision issues. It’s only noisy when it’s empty and the first few blocks drop down to hit the plastic cooler lining, then it gets quieter when it’s just ice landing on ice. It has an auto-off lever inside so it will quit when it’ full.

Broken
It is a fairly nice ice maker but when we received it it was broken! We can possibly tape it but shouldn’t have to do this on a brand new machine. So we will tape it and hopefully it will continue to work and not leak. More so of pain to ship it back then anything but okay machine also did not work when we received it.

Not the greatest but works.
So we bought this ice machine because it states that it has a 40+ lb ice storage, well according to the instruction manual it’s only 33lbs. We were hoping for the 40lb storage. The ice machine is not the ice machine you see in the pictures is not the one you will get. The ice machine also doesn’t have an insulated door, so the ice starts melting right away.Honestly wouldn’t recommend to a friend. It’s just ok.

Recycle
The description stated the ice when melted will recycle back to make more ice, not true when using pressurized waste line. May do that if using water bottle settings. So drain line must be connected if hooking to water bib.

Lots of ice.
It is harder to set up than advertised. Directions in badly broken English. Once set up, you do get a lot of ice, but I prefer smaller cubes, these come out in large slabs that have to be broken up. But you do get a lot of ice. Noise level a little loud.

This ice maker is awesome and reasonably priced…. It keeps up with the demand of the hot summer working outside. Other than the noise level which can startle you when the ice drops I recommend this product….

Works great. Can anyone show how to hookup drain hose.. hoses that came with do not seem to fit.
Probably owner error.. cannot figure out how to hook up drain line.. hoses provided do not fit.. makes ice great, but melts in the excess water

We put up 200lbs of ice in 2 days to be able to process our meat rabbits, which is why we purchased this ice maker. No regrets at all with this purchase. It is just what we expected and does a really good job. 4 stars because I never give anything a 5 star rating

Worth every penny
I’ve had this for 6 months, it was easy to install with a puncture type fitting added to an existing water line. Makes a ten lb bag of ice in about 2 hrs of run time. It will start yielding ice about 10 mins from turning it on. I love having ice that doesn’t smell freezer burnt. I use this in the summer for camping and all year for gatherings etc. very happy with the machine. Works whenever I need it. I set it to run 2 hrs and put an equal timer on my phone and I’ll have enough to fill a bag to throw in the freezer. It will pay for itself after about 2 years.

There are numerous reviews and they all seem correct. The bin isn’t a freezer so the ice will melt. The instructions are hard to follow. It comes with some kind of adapter for permanent water hook up. I got an ice maker self tapping saddle and it works fine.I like the ice it produces. Makes a full bin in a short time. It is loud when it drops the first few blocks.

Ice maker good to go!!!
Ok, I love this ice maker but there are a few quirks that need be known to those wanting to buy one.First, this is made to be hidden under a counter top or behind a bar. It’s kind of an eye sore sitting in the middle of my kitchen but I plain on building a shelve to hide it in.Second, the instruction pamphlet’s that come with the ice maker has a lot grammatical errors and are a little hard to understand. Especially the area pertaining to the timer delay portion of your ice maker.Third, on the first day I used the fill with external bottle technique and the ice came out crystal clear and tasted amazing. Had a full harvest within several hours but it used a lot of water making ice that way. I am an engineer so was able to tap into my fridge water line and add an inline filter for the supply line to ice maker. Now I still get the same amount ice as before but it’s not as clear as before. As a HVAC tech I know that this means there is possibly contaminates in the water or air. I guess one could solve this problem by investing in a good quality water filter.Fourth, and this is my biggest complaint. You can see by the pictures that I had to add an external pump to remove the water from the ice bin as the ice melts. This is not a cooler that holds the ice for days on end. I would have thought the manufacturer would have tried to reuse the water as it starts to collect at the bottom of the tank. This ice maker is made to be tied to a sewer drain line so that the melted ice water can be removed from the ice storage tank. I tried several different ways to drain the tank by hand but it makes a mess in doing so. I now use a water pump bought off of Amazon. The gravity fed water flows out of ice tank and into a small pump. I reengineered the pumps water outlet line to supply the unused water into my dogs water bottle. Again when I bought the unit I hoped the ice maker would reuse the water to make more ice but I was wrong. .So in conclusion I would say the ice maker performs to the quality as sold and I’m happy with my purchase but in a world where water is so precious I would like to see the melted water somehow get reused to make more ice. Also with the user manual please correct the grammatical errors and give a better description of operations on how the settings affect the operation of the ice maker.

Makes ice quickly. Poor Insulation
I like the fast ice making. Noise is not an issue where I set the machine. Even though it is not a freezer, it could have been insulated better. The ice is soft and wet and tends to clump together. I have it in a conditioned space. Also, when I received and set up the machine, it made one batch and quit making ice with the “F” symbol flashing that it was full. I soon discovered that the plate mechanism that shuts off ice making when full was catching on the white fill tube in back. I had to bend the tube by partially cutting it about 1 inch from the end. That made it bend enough. Result was a fine machine except for the poor (or none) insulation. Hope it lasts as long as the 20 year old Kitchenaid it replaced.

Powerhouse and great value for the money
This ice machine is a powerhouse. It produces ice very quickly. You have to get used to the sound of the ice dropping. I hooked up a water filter under the sink and bought a pump for the drainage. It works perfectly. I Blanche a lot of vegetables and we fish all the time and need alot of ice!

Don’t Buy Name Brand
Let me start by saying I own a lawn company and have two crews. They needed ice water jugs during summer months so I decided to buy an ice machine. Thought name brand was the way to go. I bought a scotsman.It was over $1300. Ran constantly, was noisy and really didn’t produce that much ice. I did like the quality of the ice that the scotsman produced, solid clear cubes. Then it just crapped out right after scale removal and sanitation it just quit making ice.The new ice maker was very easy to set up. I already had everything ready from previous machine. Started making ice right away.I turn it on before I go to bed and in the morning it has already filled the cabinet and stopped producing ice. I then turn it off, fill the water jugs and leave it off until night.I wish I had bought this one to start with. Have had it for a few weeks and it performs wonderfully.Check back with me next summer and I will let you know how it is holding up.I was hoping to add to my review. I was going through and reading some 5 star reviews and there was more than 1 person talking about reclaiming and reusing the drain water from the holding tank. I wanted to warn that this is a bad idea. Unless you can sanitize the water coming from the drain, or maybe you are constantly sanitizing the holding cabinet, even then are you sure that the reclaimed water is as clean as the tap or bottle water you are using. This water is meant to be discarded. There aren’t any resturants that don’t have their holding tanks centered over a drain or connected to one. Reclaiming drain water and reusing it just isn’t done it’s not sanitary. If you want to use it to water your garden that would be fine.

Ice machine quits working after a few months.
I purchased this ice maker with a 4 year extended warranty. The ice maker quit working a few months after purchasing it. Amazon told me to contact the company who sold Amazon the ice maker. That company refused to cover the ice machine with the warranty because Amazon was the seller, not them. I was finally able to speak with someone at Amazon who replaced the ice machine. Two months later and the 2nd ice machine is beginning to do the same thing. In a month or so it will quit working and we will be stuck in the same situation. The extended warranty won’t touch the ice machine until the year manufacturers warranty has expired.

Worked GREAT….Until it Didn’t 🙁
This ice machine was great- easy set up and produced a ton of ice. (Husband takes ice baths every day) Until four months later…it didn’t. Has it inspected by a local refrigeration company who said the pump had gone out and there wasn’t anything they could do to fix it. Not too happy about it.
