Misrepresented power requirements
The listing for this ice maker clearly states “Wattage 90 watts”. I looked at the manual before unpacking the unit and it lists 2.0 amps as the maximum power consumption. 2.0 amps on a 110-120 volt device converts to 220 to 240 watts, which is more than double the power consumption listed.I bought this for use on my boat which is 100% powered by solar panels and has neither the capacity or the wiring to support this device.

OMG always loved these, i had one awhile ago but my gf decided to clean and forgot to empty it after and it corroded the lines and ended destroying the whole thing, BUT i bought this one probably at least a month or 2 ago now and it really is a must, i hate freezer trays or buying bagged ice, you can purchase bags to fill your own, i’ve even sold ice to my tenants just cause i can and they hate going to the convenience store were price isn’t convenient. It makes a small batch in like 5-7 mins i wasn’t paying attention to the time, i make Frapps most days and if i want the ice fresh i can pour the water in, turn it on go take a shower and get ready, have my coffee pouring as well, then go grab the ice and start the frapp process and have enough usually for 2 venti sized cups and i either make more until i leave and put it in a container in the freezer or just stop it and leave it until i know im gonna need ice again. 1 batch is plenty for just a glass of ice for a soda.

I like this product a lot. You must make your bag of ice then freezer it. I see people posting the ice melts to quick. Well their not frozen per say they are just formed and a little frozen, you must freeze them, that’s why I make 4 bags and when one is done I make another. I always have 4 ready. This machine is quick. Takes about 6 minutes to make a batch and really about 4-5 hours to fill the 8lb bag. But once you get your number, mine is 4 you good to go. Make one Everytime you finish one and you’ll always have enough. Love it.

Exactly what I didn’t know I needed
Easy set up and started making ice within 10 minutes. I do use bottled water as I think the ice tastes better than tap water (I tried both ways). I waited three weeks after receiving to write this review.

great solution for failed refrigerator icemaker
Fills the basket in an hour, fills a plastic shopping bag in a day. More expensive models keep the ice colder; this container is well-insulated, but don’t leave the ice sitting for more than an hour or two. Simple to use: fill water to the bottom of the basket, push the ON button. If you want smaller ice, press the SIZE button. Drops small amounts of ice every 7-8 minutes, fills the basket in about an hour. (Auto-stops when full.)

Great little product
I purchased this product for use at my lake house. What a wonderful purchase at that. It produces about a 3# bag of ice in about 1.5 hrs. It’s not a small item, about the size of a bread machine. So make sure to measure your space. For now it’s on the kitchen counter, soon to be moved out to the tiki bar. Very happy with my purchase. FYI my son also purchased one for use in his farm office. And he to, is very pleased with his purchase.

I got so tired of buying ice and decided to try this little ice maker. I love it! It’s perfect for my husband and I. I use distilled water and the clear ice cubes are so awesome. I recommend this to anyone. It takes up little room in my kitchen too. Love, love, love it.

Ice is made quickly. If you use refrigerated water, it works even more quickly. I can fill my ice bucket in the freezer to the max in a few hours.

I got e-coli from the mold build up
I purchased this “self cleaning” ice machine about 6 months ago. I am a very clean person so when I saw this… I was positively disgusted. I was wondering how I got e-coli. I now know. Please do your family and yourself a favor and don’t purchase this item. I’m so disappointed and completely grossed out! Fyi, I’ve only EVER used water in it.

Perfect for what we needed!
This is a perfect ice maker for our boat and home. Compact and makes ice as expected. The ice melts a bit because the basket hits the water reserve but no big deal if you stay on top of emptying it. We 100% recommend it.

Wonderful addition to the kitchen
This works exactly how it says it will. Strongly recommend you read the instruction booklet instructions. This will make the process easier to complete. It also comes in a three prong cord. You’ll need a two slot adaptor if you do not have 3 prong outlets. It is very important to to let the machine set 2-6 hours set on the counter to let the freezing fluid in the ice maker settle. I used filtered water.

This ice machine helped get us through the summer while our kitchen was under renovation and we had no water connection to our refrigerator icemaker. We put filterd water in the unit and ran it all day filling our refrigerator/freezer ice basket. The ice is made quickly and a terrific medium firmness if you are one who enjoys chewing on ice and don’t want to damage your teeth. Two cube size options. It is however, a little noisy but worth this little annoyance for the price, compactness and quality of ice that it produces. Arrived on time and well packaged. Very pleased!

Counter top icemaker
This machine doesn’t quite measure up, but it’s better than my broken refrigerator icemaker, and much less expensive than repairs to the refrigerator. The large cubes are small and hollow. When set to small cubes they are like crushed ice. The machine starts making cubes as soon as you push the button, but you must keep emptying the bin or they begin to melt and end up a big chunk of melting ice. It only stops when you shut it off, or when the water is gone.UPDATE: I’ve been using this icemaker now for a while and have upgraded my review. I discovered that if I keep a pitcher of water in the refrigerator and use that to make ice, the machine works much better. The cubes aren’t so mushy and wet and they’re a bit bigger. For the price this really is a good little machine.

Does the trick
We’ve become addicted to these counter top ice makers. I would say this is our third purchase of similar models. From our experience, these ice makers last about one year. For us this is still cheaper than buying ice weekly. It might be slighlty noisier than units we’ve had, but it looks very nice on the counter. The branding on the front came off easily with a magic eraser, to make it look even sleeker. I wish I could add more; it works, it produce ice fact and in the shape/style we like. As for the durability, it’s too soon to tell. Ask me in a year.

Good Ice Maker but louder than anticipated
Purchased this Ice Maker since my Samsung Fridge Ice Maker decided to give up after 4 fixes. The wife was very happy to have ice in the house. It does its job of making ice, but it is far from quite. I can hear the ice maker working from the other room, it’s advertised as a quite machine but its far from it. But it’s an ice machine, and it does its job.

Our refrigerator ice maker has been broken for a couple of years, and I definitely missed not having ice in my drinks. I saw this small ice maker when it was on sale and thought, why not. As the description says, it drops fresh ice cubes precisely at 8 minutes. The small cubes are plenty big enough for me. Around lunch time, I turn it on and enjoy benefits of using in drinks, and munching on it on very hot days. The ice does begin to melt if not used in short order. However that is not a problem. The water simply drains into the water well to form new cubes later. I like when the ice has softened somewhat which makes it easier to munch on.

It is a nice machine. Not heavy at all. Easy to operate.Quiet. About 7min to produce 7 not so large cubes. Its perfect for a small Household. Not more than 2people unless you want to wait forever for more cubes.Its not to entertain a crowd ! Set up was easy. It has a 3 prongs.Came with several plastic bags to fill up and a small scooper. I wish it made more cubes or bigger cubes. I’d give it a 5* if it had the latter.
