Artic Air Pure Chill 2.0 Review
If you want to cool yourself down, this is a great product. Sometimes it makes me TOO cold, and that is saying a lot! I like it nice and cold, borderline chilly.
It's important to understand what this product is. It is not a classic air conditioner. It operates more on the principles of a swamp cooler. You pour ice and water into a chamber, and there's a fan that blows this on to you. It's like a personal desk fan, but quite a bit more effective.
On the downside, there is no rotation feature, so if you want to cool another part of your body, you'll have to manually turn it a bit. This isn't really an issue, just a nice-to-have. There is a vent that is adjustable up or down, so there is no need to position the device at an angle (which you shouldn't do anyway because then water might spill out of the water chamber).
To me, this device seems to work quite well even in low-humidity locations. Yesterday, my office was at 19 percent humidity -- very dry -- and yet I was still quite cooled down by this device.
I didn't expect to be overly impressed with this item, but thankfully I was wrong. It's great! I highly recommend it as a personal desk cooling device.
